WHOOSH.
That was the sound of your entire Evony empire being swept away by that infuriatingly persistent high level player who’s been pestering you for weeks.

Oh, and heaven-forbid your city’s population collect any resources for you so you can build your defenses back up.
Deeply frustrated, you do some quick housekeeping, and begin rebuilding your army.
THUD.
Yeah, you guessed it…
You wake up the next day, and there it is – this time one of the annoying-high-level-constant-attacker-that-you-loathe guy’s alliance buddies kindly swooped in and plundered your city-in-ruins overnight.
Joy.
Back to the housekeeping… Back to the rebuilding…
And so the cycle goes… on, and on, and on, and…
Not exactly a winning strategy, right?
If this story sounds anything like you’ve experienced, I know how you feel.
This is EXACTLY what happened to me, time and time again ever since I took my first steps out of the comfortable confines of Beginners Protection.
So, what ended up happening to that city of mine? Did I ever recover from this ridiculous onslaught of attacks?
No. I grabbed a case of Mountain Dews, an old bag of chips that had been in the pantry for who knows how long, and plopped my backside in front of my TV as I wept my troubles away.
Just kidding.
To say I merely “recovered” would be an understatement.
From that point forward, I dedicated my time to studying the high-level Evony players and their tactics, which I unwittingly assumed to involve some sort of witchcraft.
Yeah, I found too many players that were doing things the wrong way. Using hacks, cheats, you name it… Luckily, the good people that manage the game of Evony usually dropped by their cities and kindly served them a letter with a subject line something to the effect of: “Hi, You’re Banned.”
But, I also found people doing it the right way. And doing it VERY well.
I avidly followed these people. Practically worshipped, actually. I built new cities on new servers, and new cities on old servers, and began applying everything my new high-level Evony buddies had been teaching me.
If I could have, I probably would’ve even tried to match these guys’ dietary patterns. I wanted so badly to own my server like they did and still do. I would have tried anything just so I could replicate their success.
What’s especially exciting – I even developed several personal tips and strategies along the way that essentially evolved from the basic/advanced strategies I had been learning.
And for the next few months, I soaked in virtually everything there was to know about how to dominate the game of Evony in radical fashion.
