A clever strategy for capturing high level valleys is to allow your enemy to capture a high level valley first. Then you attack it and capture it after he recalls his troops. For example taking a level 10 valley will require 20k troops or more. However if you wait for an enemy to take a level 10 valley then you try to take it from him, you might be able to take it with only 1 troop! You can only do this if you are out of beginner’s protection.

Real clever. If your enemy is strong enough to take a lvl 10 and you aren’t, I really suggest not doing this for the enemy may just turn his sights on you. I had someone try this on sever 75 and not only did I quickly take my valley back, I decimated him and his cities until he abandoned one and teleported the other. For 10 minutes of a lvl 10 valley ownership, that guy was set back a week in the game. Again, real clever.

sounds a little vindictive dont you think?

If it was me in that situation, I probably would take my valley back, and if I was bored, I may take one round of spoils from the guy just to give him a bloody nose, but to go as far as you did is just poor. You’re probably one of those bully’s in the game who likes to pick on the weak anyhow.

    shame on you.

The game is full of those “bullies” if that is what you want to call them. The whole game is about real politik, Todd. I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t at least eat some little pip squeak who jacked their valley. And decimating their first city to force them into their second is a real possibility. So maduxx is right: it would be a stupid move to try to steal a lev 10 valley that you are too weak to take on your own. Even if you weren’t forced off the map, you would have the crap kicked out of you. And if maduxx was a “bully” he wouldn’t be wasting his time intervening when people give bad advice to n00bs.

lol this is a great tip. but like they said not if youre too weak to take it on your own. but if your hostile with the person who cares? and if you really are strong enough and dont feel like wasting the time sending troops sent 10 scouts an an enemy valley. make sure you can take that enemy though. also, when they go to take the valley back you can just abandon it so they bite the curb with some of their attacking troops

Actually, there is a VERY safe way to do this, without bringing retaliation down from a more powerful opponent:

You can capture a valley owned by an enemy, that is not protected, with a single scout.

So drag yourself hundreds of miles away on the map, and find an owned valley at that great distance. Don’t even bother scouting, just send a single scout to attack it.

Go around finding more owned valleys, all far away, and attacking each with one scout.

Your scouts won’t take long to get there, but if the owner wants to attack you, it may take him days to send troops, or else he has to spend an advanced teleport.

I generally fill up with distant valleys, without any consequences but angry emails.

Some of the people will take their valley back, but a few won’t, so eventually you have a slew of level 10 valleys.

  10. KILLER says:

If you want to know the troops to take valleys here they are
    LEV ARCHERS
    1 50
    2 100
    3 200
    4 400
    5 800
    6 1600
    7 3200
    8 6400
    9 12800
    10 25600
Don’t forget to add 1 worker 1 warrrior 1 scout 1 and pike 1. You will need less archers the better techs you have and better attack hero you have.

To Drakonia, I am taking level 7 Lakes at present and I am still getting casulties sending 100K Archers from a level 10 with all techs at level 10 (except Warehouses). The casulties are generally less than 1000 with 10% wounded. I am at present varing my attack hero to try to find out if the level of Mayor affects the results. There appears to be a difference when the valley has no cavalry. So scouting may help. When cavalary are there the casulalties are always higher.
